Are You Tracking Your AdWords Campaign's Keywords?

Are you tracking the conversions from your campaigns on both the Ad Group and Keyword levels? If not, spend some time setting that up.

You Must Test, Track, And Tweak Your Adwords Ads Campaigns Consistently! One of the most important things you can do as a marketers is to test constantly. You test your ad copy's new headlines... attention-grabbing hooks... and psychological response triggers. You can apply tweaks to your ad copy to improve your click throughs and your conversion rate. Conversion Tracking is a way to measure your success.

You need to get your tracking code (Google or Yahoo Analytics) on the product's thank you page so that you can track conversions. Without that you will not know which keywords convert and which do not. You can place Google Analytics code to track visitors conversions of web opt-in sign up forms. Be sure the tracking is on the page after the action: IE thank you page for registration or thank you sales page by placing a snippet of copy and paste hotmail code on the page where the conversion happens. It usually takes 24 hours for it to be activated for your account.

One strategy to improve conversion (but reducing clickthrough rate) is to include "qualifying information" in the ad text, such as a price, minimum-order size, or shipping cost. Then, if someone isn't willing to pay your price listed in the ad text or meet your conditions, they probably won't bother to click.

Keyword research is important as is keyword performance and conversion. You want to see and know what keywords perform the best. Run A Search Query Report. Running this report gives you all the keywords that triggered your ads. You may find keywords or keyword phrases (long tail 4 words or more phrases) that you were unaware your visitors were using to find your products or services related to your business.
Google provides Google Analytics to AdWords PPC advertisers to track the clicks and conversions performance of your ad campaign's keywords.

Tracking URLs provide information such as the source of the click and the search query. When you use Tracking URLs, the destination URL in your ads is appended with information such as the search query, keyword, and match type for each click.

One of the most important (and perhaps under-utilized) features of Google AdWords is the "Negative Keywords" feature. This allows you to specify keywords which -- if they appear in a search phrase -- strongly indicate that a customer is not interested in the products or services that you offer.

Develop the ability to test multiple elements on your site (AdWords Site Optimizer) to make your web site improve on a weekly basis. Experiments to improve your opt-in page. Small improvements on your landing page can make a big difference.

The Bounce Rate Report Is Important. Through your analytics you can isolate your landing page used in your PPC campaigns and learn a bit more about the bounce rate for visitors. Bounce rate indicates the percentage of people that took one look at your page and then left the site. If your CTRs are high on your ad, but your bounce rate is high on your landing page, than visitors are not finding the information that they thought they'd find by clicking on your ad. Why is that? What needs to change in your messaging?

Refer to The Google Analyics Blog and Google Analytics Videos On YouTube.

Basic AdWords Keyword Terminology

PPC (Pay per Click) - denotes the approximated price paid per click of the advertisement advertising under a keyword

Ad Rank - refers to the ad effectiveness of a keyword based on its position/rank on search engines' result page (No. 1 being the highest rank)

Competitors - this refers to the number of competitors advertising under the same keyword

Ad Variations - allows you to create alternative ads to split test

What Guidelines Do You Use To Write Your AdWords Haiku Ads?

"What ia an Adwords Haiku Ad?

An AdWords Haiku Ad is an advert that is short, concise and to the point. You can not fit your entire sales presentation into AdWords 95 characters ad copy. You Must Focus on one offer, service or product and you Must Effectively Give your offer benefit to the prospective consumer and a call to action.

You Need A Guideline When You Compose Your AdWords Haiku Ads.

When you write and structure your short AdWords Haiku Ads ask yourself these questions:

Does the headline grab my attention?

Does the headline promise a benefit?

Does the body of the ad motivate me to click on the link?

The headline Is the most important part of your ad. If you cannot capture someone's attention with the headline they will not read the rest of the text in your ad. If you can get the potential customers to read and identify with your heading, the more likely they will be to click your ad. It is suggested to ask your potential prospect a question, start with an action verb... Accelerate, Achieve, Build, Capture, Create etc. in the headline and it is very important to use your major keyword (what your visitors’ want)in the title.

What you are actually doing is qualifying your prospects. Most potential customers focus on the title rather than on the body or on the ad copy as a whole. Therefore, the headline or your AdWords ad title should focus on a benefit or an end result. Think about what is important to the prospect and try to work it into your ad's headline.

Your AdWords ad copy must go beyond the selected keywords and get to the intent and motivation of the searcher. Focus on identifying and satisfying the needs and motivations of your "targeted prospects". Every step of the way, you should be asking yourself the following questions:

1. What are people searching for? (Information, products, services,

2. How are they searching? (Keywords, Search Engines, Forums)

3. How does my offer satisfy their specific needs or help solve their problem?

4. How can I maximize the connection between their
motivations and my offer?

5. And most importantly, what does the market want that
I can deliver better than anyone else?

Do you know... The performance of your short AdWords Haiku Ads depends almost entirely on how well your ad copy is written. Be sure to work your most important keyword into the headline. If you are unable to do that then insert the keyword or keyword phrase in the body text of the ad. Capitolize the first letter of each word.

Whenever a keyword is included in your ad it will show in bold lettering on Google which will not only stick out visually, but it was also the same keyword that the user typed in and is searching for.

Compose your AdWords PPC ads so that they are closely related to your key search terms. The more closely related they are interpreted to be, the better "qualified traffic" clicks you will receive.

To match your title keywords to search terms, you will have to set up individual ad groups for important search terms. On Google AdWords And Yahoo PPC, you can use automatic dynamic keyword insertion, which will save a tremendous amount of time when setting up campaigns spread over numerous keywords. For example, if you have 1500 keywords and want to put all of them into a single ad group, you can set up your account to automatically insert the search terms into your title (as long as they don't exceed character limitations).

A Kandu Tip: Brand Names - Google is very sticky about using brand names in your ad copy. However, in most cases, you CAN use brand names in your keyword list. In fact, these are often the highest-conversion keywords in a campaign - name recognition. When I run a campaign for a brand-name product, I ALWAYS use the brand name in as many of my keyword list as I can i.e. AdWords Elite, Google Cash, Simon Lueng, etc.

Warning: Be Aware some manufacturers specifically prohibit the bidding on their trademarked phrases as part of their TOS when you join their affiliate program. This is often the case with Commission Junction affiliate programs. If this is the case, obey the TOS. Also, Yahoo and MSN will sometimes flag trademarked keywords.

A Kandu Tip: You can discourage window-shoppers who click on the 1st Adwords or PPC ad by include price and a direct call to action in your short haiku AdWords ad. This Strategy will pre-qualifies your visitors.

When you write your ad description fill the second line with a benefit. Think of what your visitors can gain from using your product or servicee. In the third line, write a feature of your product or service. Remember, features always come after benefits.

Google AdWords Skill Is Knowing How To...

choose the right keywords or keyword phrases

place the proper bids (bidding is about strategy)

write a great "eyeball-grabbing" headline ads with benefits and a call to action

break down a campaign into Ad Groups

implementing learned AdWords techniques and strategies

adjusting testing, tracking and fine-tuning everything is essential.

Ads that consistently have a high ranking and high CTR will begin to show up on the premium space across the top of the search results, instead of running down the right side.

Is Keyword Research & A Keyword PPC Spy Tool Services Important?

Keyword Research & Keyword PPC Spy Tool Services

Keyword research is definitely the first step in developing your site's content or an AdWords PPC campaign. There are so many other variables with creating a site's unique content or a profitable Adwords PPC campaign. Keyword Research is one of the important variables for both. One of the things you'll learn to do as you as a Google AdWords PPC Advertiser is to focus your ads around highly focused keywords
and specific keyword phrases that people are searching for. Keyword theme based advertising matches a visitor's intention with advertisement targeted to their needs.

Your keyword research goal is to discover what people want and what people are searching for. How many people are searching for the same thing and the frequently of the used keywords. You want to find keywords with little or no competition. Use these keywords and keyword phrases in your ad campaigns to generate traffic -"targeted traffic" to your AdWords ad, website, landing page and / or affiliate link. Your keyword analysis will determine what the most effective words or phrases are for your web content and / or keyword advertising. By effective, I mean "most likely to lead to conversion" and be that a sale.

When Advertising With Google AdWords You Must Build a List Of Keywords that are RELEVANT to your Ad Title's and to your Landing Page and / or Website. The more Relevant Keywords you find in your research, the more potential visitors you will attract to your Ad. The keyword list you build must be able to attract "targeted traffic" - people who are interested in your AdWords Ad Offer.

First find what people are looking for and what they want to buy, learn, achieve, etc. Usually the search term represents a wish, a need, a desire, a curiosity expressed in one to several-word phrases. Just type in some of these words into one of the many Keyword Suggestion Tools: buy, learn, achieve, find, how to, how to start a (insert word).

It's necessary to know what keywords people are searching for to define what they need or what they wish for to build your specific targeted keyword list. Therefore, a relevant keyword list is especially useful to build and use to attract "targeted traffic" to your sites via pay per click (ppc).

Finding long-tail(three words and more) and targeted search phrases that are actually getting traffic can mean the difference between your website SEO for free organic SERP and / or your AdWords success and failure. You might also find that long-tail search phrases bring better conversion rates for your title's topic.

A Kandu Tip: Use a thesaurus for synonyms to help you brainstorm your initial keyword list. Example: home - house.

Refine your keyword list: Create seperate Ad Groups for...

spelling mistakes (calender)for spelling mistakes - misspellings and typo's use Search Spell get traffic for minimum prices.

synonyms (home - house)

singulars and plurals (review vs reviews)you can ensure that you are not missing out on relevant traffic by including both singular and plural variations.

hyphenation (email vs. e-mail)

You want to use Keywords Matching Options: broad match, phrase match and an exact match listed for each keyword within a group.

Broad Matching. Any order of keywords are possible in a search query but avoid using broad match only. Avoid losing money by choosing general broad keywords or the wrong keywords.

Phrase Matching (use quotes)is the secret of grouping words together in a specific order to lower your PPC costs and raise your ROI immediately. Ads are only displayed when the specific phrase words are searched.

Exact Matching use (brackets). It is what it says… how to show people exactly what they're looking for. And nothing else.

Negative Keywords and how you can "screen" your traffic. Only pay for profitable clicks, not for the money-suckers. If there are NO negative keywords at all, there is no way to filter out poorly performing traffic, or just plain searchers that are really not looking for a product or service service that your company offers.

Negative Keywords - Negative Keywords are Crucial. Keeping the wrong people away from your ads is as important as attracting the right people.

Why Quotes and Brackets Matter a Lot

When someone searches on Google putting quotes or brackets around the word or phrase, they get different results than if they just typed the word in all by itself. In other words, using quotes and brackets can triple the number of keywords you bid on, and gives you three times as many chances to find the really profitable ones.

Eliminate the keywords that are too general and broad.

Here's a way to add more low cost keywords to your AdWords campaigns. Put all your most important keyword phrases together without any spaces.

Examples: how to list build - howtolistbuild or AdWords List Building - AdWordsListBuilding

You may want to avoid including duplicate keywords across ad groups and campaigns in the same account. Your ad will only be shown once for a given search, and these duplicate keywords will be competing with each other to appear.

I have learned basic keyword research is seeing what works. What gets impressions, what gets clicks and what gets conversions. It is a process. Usually after a 100 or so clicks you can start pruning keywords. In general you can apply the 80/20 rule. 20% of your keywords will generate 80% of your clicks.

In general positions 1-3 get 80% of the clicks. It is presumed positions 1-2 get your tire clickers. Position #3 is the spot you want to be positioned. Positions 4-8 get perhaps 15% and the other positions get the rest, more or less

Does this sound familiar to YOU?

Are YOU Keyword Challenged?

I don't know about you but I am "Keyword Challenged". For me, the most challenging aspect of search marketing or pay per click marketing is finding quality keywords and learning how to combine keywords to target the right longtail keywords! If I can’t come up with the words and phrases a potential customer is using, I can’t target them for my product and / or services offers.

As technologies advance and new products are conceived. The new "PPC Spy Tools" have emerged and are very powerful tools. The "PPC Spy Tools" literally gives you a way to piggyback on other people's success that already have a proven selling process for their website or their affiliate website landing page or just their affiliate link! The Fastest Way To Make Money Online Is To Model And Emmulate Other Succesful Internet Marketers.

The Fastest Way To Make Money With AdWords Is To Replicate Ads That Are Already Successful. These new "PPC Spy Tools" are extremely powerful in telling you tons of data and useful information about AdWords PPC ads and keywords.

I am a savvy consumer. If you're a savvy consumer (which of course you are), you want a honest stand alone or a comparative independent consumer product reviews that evalutes a product and / or service. I prefer to recommend products and services that I've actually used or that I know have worked well for others.

Who Is The Leader In The Keyword PPC Spy Tool Technology Services?

The current "PPC Spy Tools" Are Google Cash Detective, AdProSpy, Undercover Profits X-Ray And ZamDoo. The lastest is ZamDoo. Some of the new "PPC Spy Tools" are a one time payment. Most are a hosted and have a monthly subscription re-occuring service fee.

"Undercover Profits", or "UCP" is probably the best of those offerings, with a fully hosted solution - but they're $291 per month!

Consumer Alert: Google Cash Detective Buyers Beware. I'm gonna give you my reasons why you should *NOT* purchase the "Google Cash Detective PPC Spy Tool Application"! Yes, you read that right. I Do Not recommend the Google Cash Detective PPC Spy Product. I brought the Google Cash Detective PPC Spy Software - Script when it was first launch on June 4, 2007 for $397.00. Therefore, I have 1st hand buyer and user experience. Great "PPC Spy Tool" Concept. What many folks, like myself, didn't realize is that Google Cash Detective is a script not a software tool.

When I Purchased The Google Cash Detective Script It Had Unresolved Script Application Errors & Cron Issues, Hidden Fees, Inflated Costs, And Poor Customer Service. I Did Not feel valued or appreciated as a Google Cash Detective customer.

The AdProSpy Product is also a script. However, I think, AdProSpy would be great value even at twice the price, but at the current price $67.00 it can't be beat! I believe, AdProSpy has the best value for someone who would like to Try a "PPC Spy Tool". What really gets me excited is that the AVERAGE Online Internet Marketer can now afford to do what seasoned experienced Internet Marketers Can Do! AdProSpy is a self - hosted script. There are keyword limits with the AdProSpy product.

ZamDoo claims it was the first piece of affiliate marketing software to be rigorously tested by users BEFORE being offered for sale! I know ZamDoo had over 500 beta testers involved in the development of the product. I signed up to be a ZamDoo beta tester. I had wanted to compare Zamdoo and Google Cash Detective. I was approved as a beta tester but did not download the software. Unfortunately, my time and energy was focus on getting my money refunded back from Google Cash Detective.

I know from visiting the ZamDoo forum that PERSONAL interaction, customer service and feedback is important to Dave and Jeff from ZamDoo. Beta tester users gave feature requests, suggestions on the user interface, and ZamDoo work with their beta testers data, feedback and hammered the program to knock out the bugs before the release of the software.

ZamDoo has a moderate $97.00 monthly subscription. Comparable price to other "PPC Spy Tools". Outstanding customer service and community forum support.

Finding a keyword tool that can provide you with the features you need at the prices you want can sometimes be a difficult challenge. Taking the time to research exactly what you need and project your needs as best as you can into the future can ensure that you purchase the keyword research tool or the ppc spy tool services that is right for you.

Are You Making Money With Google AdWords?

Another Quality Review "Are You Making Money With Google AdWords?" Brought To YOU By The Kandu Reviews Internet Marketing Guidance Blog

"Have you discover how the big companies only pay for Online ad results, and never pay for ad "exposure"?

Unlike other forms of Offline media advertising newspapers, magazines, radio, t.v. or Online banner or text ads, search marketing with Google AdWords Pay Per Click you could reach millions of new prospects in minutes of activating your account and publishing your ad. You will only pay when somebody views and clicks your ad. If the viewer reads your ad but doesn't click, you pay nothing. This is a much better way to market and promote any business! Pay Per Click is the absolute fastest and best form of marketing on the web. Google AdWords Pay Per Click Online Advertising is a simple and cost effective way to advertise and is fast taking it's share of the market from more traditional forms of print and broadcast advertising.

Many people have signed up for Google AdWords accounts to promote their products and / or services or to promote other people's products and / or services, to generate quality web site traffic and / or for a list acquisition campaign to build an opt-in list quickly only to be disappointed with the level of earnings and profits or opt-in sign ups they have been able to achieve. Google AdWords is a very simple but extremely powerful Internet Search Marketing tool. It is a very complex one as well. This makes it an intriguing challenge.

Google AdWords Pay Per Click (PPC) User Review

While registering and setting up an Google AdWords account can be done in a matter of minutes, learning and understanding the basic AdWords fundamental concepts and successful techniques on how to research and select relevant keywords and keyword phrases, write an effective keyword relevant Haiku Ad copy that is short and concise, test, effectively manage, maintain your AdWords Pay Per Click (PPC) marketing campaigns, track, monitor metrics and regularly review your account's performance, re-fine and tweak your AdWords Ads and selected keywords for maximum impact and maximum exposure is a process that can take you quite a bit of concentrated time and focus effort to learn and master.

Google AdWords requires the following to master it. You must inves the time and take the steps to learn, understand what to do and develop the knowledge base and skill set to "know how" to do it. Until You Really Know How To Do It Only run ads on the Google 'Search Network' in Google Adwords. When creating a new campaign in the Google Adwords system, the default campaign settings are configured to show your ads on both the 'Content Network' and the 'Search Network'. When beginning as a new AdWords Advertiser uncheck and turned the 'Content Network' off.

In order to make money with Google AdWords you must "know how" to brainstorm, research and choose the right keywords - relevant keywords to target your market's audience. One of the biggest mistake advertisers make in their AdWords campaign is to compiled a long list of keyword terms and have an excessive amount of unrelated keywords and implemented them into their AdWords account. Be careful not to think that just having a massive list of keywords will help your AdWords campaign.

You must first know your market, who is your audience and who you are targeting. You must learn and "know how" to separate your massive keywords list to smaller focus keywords in your Ad Groups... 10 to 20 keywords in an Ad Group to start.

Example: If you are promoting an AdWords Tips Blog or AdWords Tips E-book or AdWords Tips Ezine, a relevant keyword list may be: google adwords tips, google adwords help and google adwords advice. Your targeted audience are AdWords Advertiser self - managing their own AdWords campaigns searching for AdWords tips and learning materials information, e-books, e-guides, e-courses, e-zines etc.

The following group of keywords is somewhat related but not relevant for this particular Ad Group, notice that the keyword terms are targeting a totally different audience Adwords Advetiser's who are seeking professional expert consultation services: google adwords expert, google adwords consultant, adwords search marketing consultant and google adwords professional. These AdWords keyword terms should NOT be included for your "AdWords Tips" keyword group. This is "Why" it is a mistake to compile a long massive list of keyword terms, even if they are relevant and related ones then lump them all together. You want to structure several seperate distinctly different tightly focused groups of keywords and ads making up your AdWords Ad Group campaign to target your audience.

You must learn and consider when to prune and / or purge and eliminate those keywords that are too broad (general, as for example: most single word keywords), untargeted keywords or the keywords that are giving you low ROI (return on investment)and eliminate poorer performing keywords or expand your good keywords to include more lower cost keywords that are still related to each of your Ad Group's listed keyword terms.

You must learn and "know how" to place the proper keyword bids to get the best ad rank position and listing for clicks. Your ad rank position is not just determined by bid price but also by the Click Thru Rate (CTR). You really need to get rank and listed in the 1st page of the Google Sponsored Top 10 at least ( I go for spots 3-6... they're a bit cheaper than 1 or 2, and they have less chance for implusive clickers or to get accidentally clicked by people who are just surfing, when the ads show at the top of the organic index ). A top three ranking on Adwords will get you placement on other premium sites in their network.

Click Through: Your click through rate is the number of people that click through to your landing page from your ad… the total pool of potential prospects. If you find that a large percentage of people click through your ads, hit your landing page and don’t sign up or buy depending on your advertising goals, then you have a conversion problem. Your landing pages text, message, graphics needs to be reviewed and evaluated.

The goal is quality relevant keywords, an eye appealing advert, higher click thru rates to decrease your cost-per-click, lower keyword bid prices, AdWords PPC opt-in list sign ups, sales conversions (focusing on conversions, instead of clicks) and a return on investment (profit).

You must learn and "know how" to use your selected relevant keywords and write great enticing compelling ads (keywords in title) that grab the eyeballs, attention and interest of your targeted visitors, how to break down a campaign into Ad Groups. Each Ad Group represents a different theme within your business. These themes or groups need to be as narrowly defined and focused as possible to get the best results. Each group of relevant keywords lives within an Ad Group and each Ad Group has its own ads written specifically for it.

Example: Your company may host tele - seminars, webinars and live seminars. You want a seperate Ad Group for tele - seminars, webinars and live seminars etc. for each business theme's topic with one set of relevant focus keywords and a specfic Ad or Ad Variations (A/B Split Testing) created for each group. Split Testing Test your ad performance, refining and tweaking ads that don’t perform well and testing them with new ones for click conversions. Whichever advert performs better after around 20-30 clicks you keep that one delete the poorer performing advert. You then write yet another advert, which you now run side by side with the original better performing advert.

You want to avoid including duplicate keywords across Ad Groups and campaigns in the same account. Your ad will only be shown once for a given search, and duplicate keywords will be competing with each other to appear.

You need to "know how" to analyze and interpret your AdWords results. The number of impressions is the number of times your ad is being displayed. If your keywords have zero impressions, 1). you need to know it could mean that your selected KEYWORDS are not being searched by Internet users or 2). your daily budget is too low or the alloted budget ran out, the impressions stopped. 3). If you want to increase your Impression Rate, you need to know to increase your Daily Budget or Max Cost Per Click (CPC). It's valid to do this if your ads aren't displaying, or are displaying very low in the ad ranking position (say > 7).

The Cost Per Click (CPC) of a particular keyword is a fundamental element in the calculation of ad ranking so increasing your Cost Per Click will allow you to compete more aggressively and appear more often, hence more impressions. You increase your daily budget or max. CPC but your CTR didn't change despite a dramatic increase in impressions suggests that your ad copy may be less than optimal. One of the best ways to improve your CTR, is to refine your ad text and/or keywords.

You must learn and "know how" to test, track, analyze and interpret your AdWords campaign's report statistics monitoring metrics to clearly distinguish what’s working and probably will work from what isn’t and not likely to work adjusting and fine-tuning everything. You have to track your visitors click through keywords, monitor, be patient, continue to split test your ads, refine your ads, tweak to improve your Adwords PPC campaign performance. To do this, is another reason "Why" you need to break your campaigns up into distinct groups so you can adjust your strategy quickly based on how each of these groups perform. Know it's just a matter of monitoring and tweaking your campaigns until they are profitable

Using smaller groups of closely related keywords, separating true "search" traffic from “content” traffic as well as separating broad vs. exact keyword match types are all ways you can group your campaign to see how the groups perform in comparison. If you can’t see a difference in performance you can’t adjust for it, so being able to see that clearly is critical. If everything you’re bidding on is all lumped and jumbled together, you’ll have a real hard time trying to get more of what’s working and getting rid of what’s not.

According to Simon Leung Ex - Google Employee and AdWords Specialist one of the key factors it seems that many people overlook but need to consider when it comes to optimizing their AdWords Ads is the visitors who clicks on their Ads are looking for something... and "the AdWords advertiser needs to continue the conversation that is already going on in the searchers mind and be the answer that they are searching for." In other words your Ads and landing pages should meet your visitors needs and expectations.

Google makes it very clear that the company values their search engine users. Everything is designed for a better visitor search user experience. Therefore, providing visitors with a high quality experience is essential. Google requires relevancy. You must write good ad copy, use specific relevant keywords in your ad's title, body description, url and peppered throughout your landing page content to create congruency which is an essential part of your Adwords quality score and helps to determines your Ad's position along with other factors.

Remember - the better the quality score, the better the relevancy in Google's eyes... therefore, your reward is cheaper ads. Your keywords need to make it obvious to Google that all the things tie together, and thereby are accurately described to the Google user.

It is absolutely vital that the landing page on your site provides good content that is relevant and useful to your Google AdWords click through visitors. It is exremely important for you to do your AdWords keywords research. Extensive keyword research to find lower costing keyword phrases. Choosing the keywords to select for your Ad is very important, the keyword must be relevant. You want to find the keywords that people search on when they're ready to buy.

How can you apply this to your AdWords PPC?

Simple - the keywords and adverts that you use will attract people at different stages of their buying cycle. For example, if you are using the keywords "list building info" or "opt-in list info" or "opt-in e-mail list info" or "opt-in e-mail marketing info" it's likely that you will capture people researching and wanting to find details about list building. So you will be capturing users that are in the first part or "research stage" of their buying cycle.

Instead, if you use the keyword phrase "AdWords List Building", "AdWords List Building Guide", "AdWords List Building Site", "AdWords List" or "Simon Leung AdWords List Building Course" or " opt-in e-mail marketing", you are most likely to capture prospects who have done their basic research and know what they want already. These prospects probably are looking for reviews and / or comparison shopping for the best Online offer.

The longtail keyword phrases will have a high quality score, be a lot cheaper and more than likely the person who clicks is looking for a solution in this example "to build or improve their list" and is more likely to buy. You have to find the long tail keyword phrases, usually they have less traffic than generic keywords "list building" or "building list" and convert a lot better. Well, finding them is the hard part. The longtail keyword phrases are your goldmines.

Similarly, if you are using the keyword phrase " review, buy AdWords List Building Guide", "purchase AdWords List Building Course" or "Get Simon Lueng AdWords List Building Course $97.00", you will capture a prospect that more than likely is looking for a solution to building or improving their list, has done their research and are prepared to commit to buying the product. Utilizing price point in an advert will help many searchers realize the fact that we are in the information age and one can research and obtain free information on the Internet however, relevant expert information, often, comes at a price.

An explanation example, from head to tail.
Search User Question "how - to"...

lists (very vague keyword)
build lists (general keyword phrases)
build list info (general generic keyword phrase)
(curiosity clicks rather than people who are ready to buy)
building list/list building (general keyword phrases / example: stemming)
(above stemming example - keywords that stem from the same root word)
building list/list building info (general / example: user begining research phrase)
build adwords lists info (not specific keyword phrase)

build adwords opt-in squeeze page e-mail lists
build adwords ppc opt-in squeeze page e-mail lists
remember, there are an infinite number of possible longtail search queries people use

The above head to long tail information and examples will hopefully help inspire you to find keyword phrases and longtail keywords that are more likely to result in conversions and sales. It also may help you with your bidding strategy such as paying less for keywords that are in the earlier stages of the buying cycle. Discover your visitors keywords: explore all keyword combinations in the Long Tail of Search that work for your web pages and AdWords pay per click campaigns. You will need to improve and optimize your web site landing pages to a natural-organic-search point-of-view.

The longterm goal end result is reducing your reliance on paid keyword and ad campaigns, while increasing actual traffic from qualified organic search visitors and using set up squeeze pages and your web forms to capture visitors information to grow your opt-in lists.

You must track your keywords to discover and know which keywords and keyword phrases are performing and the highest converting keywords and the most lucrative. You'll find when initiating a new Ad Group that some keywords turn out to be highly performing, and some keywords turn out to be non performing. You still need to find out your best performing keywords before you prune and cut your list down (to eventually add a new crop of new keywords to test).

Learning, implementation and improvement are an ongoing process. You have to go through the process yourself of finding out what works, refining and tweaking your ads and pruning keywords. Just remember if, you have not been successful with Google AdWords PPC you haven’t fail when you learn what doesn’t work. For every time you fail, you need to understand WHY you failed (and that requires study). The sooner you fail, the sooner you will succeed. (And the successes will start outnumbering the failures). It’s the process of elimination and fine tuning to get you to the acquired know how, skill and the results you want to have.

Again, let me repeat... YOU want to find the keywords that people search on when they're ready to buy. That usually means less popular, longer keyword phrases. Usually, it is the long tail, two - and three-word term phrases which have very little competition, and are the most lucrative but may not be the most obvious phrases. This means, experiment with keywords that are less semantic or less obvious.

Example: Instead of "work at home", try "jobs for stay at home moms" or "jobs for stay at home moms on the east coast" or "jobs for stay at home moms in america" and "make money on the world wide web" or "make money on the internet" instead of "make money Online". You take the primary and / or secondary keyword, generate some additional keywords to create a phrase consisting of at least 3-4 words.

This is the reason many "cutting edge" high technology professional Keyword Software Tools have been developed to help AdWords PPC Advertisers with their site's seo and Adwords keywords research. In my next article we will look at what professional Online keyword tools are available to webmasters, site owners and Online Keyword - Based PPC Advertisers.
